From Marrakech to the Toubkal summit

Arrival to airport’s Marrakech Menara
The departure from Marrakech to Imlil (64 km) is provided by touristic transport cars.


The journey takes from 01h to 01h30min across the plain of the HAOUZ towards the High Atlas, via TAHANAOUT and ASNI villages, green valleys very rich in fruit trees (Apple, walnut, cherry, pear, plum...) passing around Berbers chameleons villages located on the flanks of the mountains along the river of Oued Rhighaya.

Ancient village of Ait Mizane of altitude of 1700m from where are all the departures and arrivals of the hiking and skiing in the TOUBKAL massif.
There are many villages located at each side of the mountains providing a magnificent landscape.

Approximately 200 m lies our Annexe Les Mouflons : A wonderful place for the mountain lovers, it is a haven of peace and calm.

After the departure of Imlil, hikers borrow the trail under the walnut to the beautiful village of Aremd 1960 m altitude. Aremd is a typically Berber village, located on a hill to the bottom of the Valley. About 180 families known by their hospitality and warm welcome kept from father to son which marks any casual visitor, without forgetting to mention, the welcome of panoramic cottage ID MANSOUR.

	In winter luggage is carried by mules and porters, while hikers can wear their skiing from Sidi Chamharouch 2350 m altitude, to the Refuge (about 3 hours walking). It is a place where hikers rest to take their pic nic or stroll around the shops.
	In summer, the transportation of luggage is always provided by mules. For families, children are transported on mules. Walkers can follow the classic trail that winds through the small river and streams in a gradual ascent to the sanctuary Refuge Toubkal Les Mouflons 3207 m altitude : The meeting place of all cultures.

The ascent to the Toubkal summit from the Refuge differs according to the seasons :

	In the summer : the trail is accessible by foot with good walking shoes, the temperature is generally between 15° to 20° in a day and between 8° to 10 ° at night.
	In winter : Hikers need to bring crampons for the ascension, General temperature is between 10° to 12°, in a day and 3° to 5° at night. Refuge Toubkal Les Mouflons is equipped with two fireplaces, but warm clothes are always essential.
